NYFW 101: How to get ready for a fashion show in under a minute. #MNYfw #hyperlapse
So I’ve recently had a lot of questions about the “right” colors of eyeshadow for specific eye colors. In short, I don’t believe there are “right” and “wrong” colors for anyone regardless of eye color. The only real rule I subscribe to is not wearing colors that make your skin tone looks ashy. (So if you have warm golden, olive or blue undertones just be wary of muted hues.) That being said, there are certain eyeshadow colors that actually do highlight or emphasize specific eye colors.
Blue Eyes:
Traditionally, brown/gold/copper and pink-ish colors are best for bringing out blue eyes.
Re-create this smoky brown eye with the “City Chick Smolders" Palette from Mally.

The “Liquid Metal" Palette from Illamasqua is perfect for this golden glow!
“Love" from Sugarpill is the perfect red-pink for this dramatic eye. Add a little bit of “2am" to accentuate the crease.
Green/Hazel Eyes:
Depending on whether or not you have gold flecks in your green eyes, gold, brown, muted green and purple or plum are the best eye-enhancing shades for green or hazel eyes.
The “Natural Eye" Neutral Eyeshadow Collection from Too Faced is perfect for this look.

“Asphyxia" from Urban Decay is the perfect purple to make green eyes pop!
The “Meet Matt(e)" palette from The Blam has the perfect shadows for this, and a number of other looks!
Brown Eyes:
I consider brown eyes to be somewhat neutral. In the grand scheme of things, if you have eyes this shade, you can really wear whatever color eyeshadow you want (like blue). Like green eyes, golds/bronzes, greens and purples will look best.
Try the Lancome Color Design palette in “Pink Envy" for these purple peepers.
The DuWop eyeshadow palette in “Green Eyes" can help you re-create this look with ease.

“Static" from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics would be my choice for recreating this amazing blue smoky eye.
I hope this answers some of your questions…stay posted, next week I’ll show some of the ways to wear “crazy” colors on any eye color!
Peace, Love & Samples,
Felicity
