As you know from last weeks blog, I regularly get questions about what colors of eye shadow are best for certain eye colors. This week we’re throwing out the rules and taking a look at some of the most approachable ways to wear brighter eye shadow colors regardless of eye color and skin tone. Are you ready for some color?

Black liner on top and bottom waterline and a single color of purple shadow. Try "Purple Luv" from fi.r Cosmetics and Lavera’s Soft Eyeliner in “Black.”

Proof that red heads CAN wear blue! Black liner on top and bottom waterline with a single shade of light blue shadow. Try "Poppy" Eye Shadow from Stila and Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner in “Black.”

I ADORE THIS LOOK! Black liner on top waterline, one shade of light neon green shadow and a soft pearl shadow on the inside of thee eye and part of the brow bone. Try "Pivot" from Illamasqua, "Poppy" from Mirabella Cosmetics and the "Black" Eye Pencil from Zosimos Botanicals.

White liner on lower waterline and blended into inside of the eye and a matte orange shadow on the lid/crease. Try "Burning" from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and the NYX Slim Eye Pencil in “White.”

Medium, smokey brown shadow with yellow/gold eyeliner and black on the top and bottom waterline…AMAZING!! Try "Pretentious" Eyeshadow from Makeup Geek, "Eldorado" 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil from Urban Decay and the "Intense Black" Chubby Eyeliner Pencil from Erzulie Cosmetics.

Tiny bit of black liquid liner with matte white and turquoise shadow accents. Try Nars Duo Eyeshadow in “Misfit” and Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in “Black."

Neon kelly green from lash line to crease with black “cat eye” liner and white on the lower waterline. Try "Eire" Eye Shadow from Scaredy Cat, Lorac’s Front of the Liner Pro Liquid Eyeliner in “Black and Le Crayon Khol in “White” from Lancome.

Red/orange, pink and pearl white shadow with black on the top and bottom waterline and lightly on the outside lash line of each eye…what a great way to make green eyes pop!
