NYFW 101: How to get ready for a fashion show in under a minute. #MNYfw #hyperlapse
Ever in need of a little beauty advice? Wondering how to contour your cheek bones? Want to try something new but need a little inspiration? Here are my top 10 websites for all things beauty!
1) Beautylish.com
This is…and forgive the analogy…the Facebook for beauty addicts! Beautylish lets you set up your own profile, post in various forums and search everything beauty. You can also search and post your own product reviews. There are video tutorials on everything from the latest nail trends to contouring with your foundation and applying eyeliner.
2) Makeup.com
Kind of a Refinery29 for makeup, this site is a wonderful place to learn about new products, tips and tricks and the latest trends in all things beauty.
3) Makeup and Beauty Blog
This is probably one of the best sites ever for product reviews. Karen has and probably will try every beauty product ever made and she always gives her true and honest opinion.
4) Sugarpill Cosmetics
Sugarpill is a fun, colorful and heavily pigmented line of eyeshadow. They have great tutorials on the site and sponsor an amazing artist named Megan Martinez, whose talent (self-taught) is nothing short of a gift and who’s makeup constantly inspires me.
5) Diane von Furstenberg
From the prints and textures of her fabrics to the drape and silhouette of her dresses, the work of DVF has inspired me for years. She has an amazing eye for color and regardless of the piece, it always looks feminine…as I believe all makeup should.
6) Amelia Arsenic
Also a part of the Sugarpill family (she models for them), Amelia Arsenic does it all. Fashion, jewelry, music and makeup are all under the A is for Arsenic/DestroyX umbrella and the style and images are over-the-top fun!
7) YouTube.com
Lets face it, YouTube is the repository for all video-based human knowledge. If you want to learn how to airbrush foundation, paint your face like a zombie or just apply blush, all you have to do is search YouTube and a whole slew of instructional videos will be at your fingertips. Check out gossmakeupartist when you get a chance, his tutorials are extremely helpful.
8) Naturally Erratic
If you LOVE eyeshadow and are interested in makeup your (or someone else’s) eyes appear larger, the looks on this blog are perfect for you! Bria, who also has a Beautylish.com page is an amazing artist with a love of color and a talent for blending. She showcases her inspiring looks on her very own eyes, which are small with a much larger area from her crease to her brow, and we’d all be smart to take note of how she adjusts her color placement accordingly.
9) HerSocialNetwork.com
I LOVE this site! While beauty is not their sole focus, it’s a great place to ask questions and contribute your own beauty knowledge. You can live chat, post your blog and network with other great beauty-loving ladies
10) The Makeup Blogger
Christina is a beauty lover like you and me who writes a fun and through blog on her favorite beauty products and tips.
As always, if you have any tips, tricks or questions let me know!
Peace, Love & Samples,
Felicity
