Beauty Box 5

As promised, another of the lovely ladies in the BB5 home office shares with us her daily beauty routine and a few of her very favorite products.  Here’s the skinny from our Marketing Director, Joanna Moreno.

Here’s Joanna’s routine:

 Face Wash

I begin my morning routine by washing my face with Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Face Scrub. The salicylic acid helps remove dead skin cells, open clogged pores, and prevent future breakouts.

Moisturizer

I’m a huge fan of Bare Escentuals Purely Nourishing Moisturizer for Combination Skin. Just one pump offers the perfect amount of hydration to my entire face. This moisturizer also helps to improve the firmness of my skin and the texture allows me to skip using a foundation primer as long as I apply my foundation immediately after.

 Foundation/Concealer

I start my daily makeup routine by applying NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Syracuse. The coverage is sheer but I am a fan because of the luminescent, healthy glow it gives my skin. For concealer, I actually use the NARS Sheer Glow foundation in a slightly lighter color; Barcelona.  I like adding a lighter shade under my eyes to keep them looking big and bright!

 Powder

To set my liquid foundation I apply Smashbox’s HALO Hydrating Perfecting Powder. I’m all about looking hydrated, glowing, and healthy and the combination of NARS’ Sheer Glow and the Smashbox HALO Powder is my perfect combination.

 Eye Primer

Just like Felicity, I believe there’s only one…Urban Decay Primer Potion is the way to go! This little gem keeps my eyeshadow crease-free and the colors of my shadow looking vibrant all day!

 Eyeshadow

With eyeshadow, I’m all about looking natural. I normally use one of my many shadow palettes and select from gold, orange, and brown tones.  I really enjoy purchasing my shadows in palettes because they’re a great bang-for-the-buck and because you can try a variety of colors from one brand all in one convenient place.

Liner

I have to admit, I’ve had my struggles with eyeliner but, I finally found my foolproof product; Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.  The pen-like applicator is great for easy and precise application. I also like swapping it out with Maybelline’s Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner – it’s less than half the price of the Stila liner and does pretty much the same job!

Mascara

As I mentioned earlier, I like making my eyes look brighter and more noticeable so I definitely love me some mascara! I swap mascara brands a few times a year and am currently using Buxom Lash.  I like it because it does an amazing job of lengthening and separating my lashes.
