MINA: About 6 years ago I was working at a beauty company and constantly being asked for skincare recommendations. I loved sharing my opinions, so after an auto injury I decided to start a beauty blog. Around the same time I was having major Lupus flares and really got more into makeup to help me not look as sick as I felt. I eventually added in other things I love so I blog about skin, hair, makeup, nails and even fashion!
BB5: What is your makeup philosophy?
MINA: I see makeup as beauty enhancer. It doesnāt change who I am and Iām not trying to be someone else, it simply reflects the many sides of me in fun and sometimes artistic ways!
BB5: Who is your beauty icon?
MINA: My grandmother. She may not be famous, but to me she is the pure definition of classic beauty inside and out. So many trends of today are things I remember my grandmother rocking many years ago. Tips and tricks she taught me are still a part of my daily routine.
BB5: What is the best beauty advice youāve ever received?
MINA: Less is more! I always thought my mother was just doing the mom thing when she told me that but itās so true. Itās easier to build color up than it is to lessen it when youāve used too much! Start with a little and build it slowly until you get the result you want.

As I said last week on our Facebook page, we wanted to do a little tutorial on using L204 and L206 from ELLIS FAAS. Well here it is! Itās my first vlog so bare with me…Iām sure my editing skills will improve and I plan on doing a lot more tutorials for you lovely ladies (and gents) in the future! While Austin, Texas has typically been known for its world-class music scene, few realize that weāre also an up-and-coming mecca for fashion. So much so that we even have our very own fashion week! This years annual event runs August 10th to the 18th and features designers from Texas (Austin of course), Florida, Nigeria, Argentina and more. There will be amazing clothes, swimwear, jewelry, shoes and accessories gracing the runways at various events across town the entire week! Since I know a fun-filled fashion getaway might not be in everyoneās budget, I wanted to share some of the featured designers on our blog. Iāve also made a few recommendations as to the beauty lines you might like based on each designer. I hope you enjoy!
