The holidays are here- ready or not!- but there’s no need to let traveling woes get to you or your beauty products! We at BB5 are serving up sample-sized wisdom for flying and driving pretty and safely like a polished pro.
Think Small!

With Black Friday looming ahead, you want to have some room in your suitcase for any emergency purchases- soft leather boots or suave lipstick sets on sale are an emergency, right?- so we love transferring our most-loved products to chic travel bottles to save space and keeping them closeby! Once you’ve set those bottles aside, cut down more space by butting out a bottle of hand sanitizer and downsizing to antibacterial wipes, too! If you’re flying, we strongly recommend carrying your must-haves miracle products in your carryon bag, just in case your luggage gets lost or delayed.
(AfterFeather Refillable Travel Bottles, La Fresh Travel Lite Antibacterial Wipes)
Stress Less!

Jetsetting and gridlock traffic can wreak havoc on your skin and your patience, but a few small indulgences can help calm your mind and your complexion. We adore a rose mist to refresh our faces on the plane or at rest stops driving, and during holiday hustle-and-bustle, antiperspirant wipes are a girl’s best friend and take up way less room than your already-packed deodorant. Flashing a smile when we finally see our relatives (or a cute stranger sitting in our plane’s row) is a priority, so we keep it fresh with flosspicks, and we feel more like ourselves with a travel-size fragrance atomizer of our signature scent! Finally, having something to look forward to when you finally arrive- like unwinding with a mask- is always a good idea.
(Jacqua Rose Bouquet Facial Mist, La Fresh Travel Lite Antiperspirant Wipes, Dentek Floss Picks + Case, FLO Fragrance Atomizer, Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask)
Majorly Moisturize!

The air onboard airplanes or in new locations can be a big change from what your skin is used to, so pack on the moisture everywhere! We travel with hair oil for our ends and live off lip balm, but also like to bring everyday lotion, body butter and some miracle salve for options.
(HASK Macadamia Oil Hair Treatment, Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Creme, Chapstick Hydration Lock, Laura Ashley Italian Lemon Body Butter, Smith’s Rosebud Salve)
So keep that pretty head high when you travel and have a majorly-beautiful Thanksgiving!
Xo,
The BB5 Team

Need a little insider information? Mina Slater’s your girl. Beauty Box 5 is a huge fan of this gorgeous makeup and product maven who has the details on everything from cosmetics to house wares and should totally be on your blog roll.
MINA: About 6 years ago I was working at a beauty company and constantly being asked for skincare recommendations. I loved sharing my opinions, so after an auto injury I decided to start a beauty blog. Around the same time I was having major Lupus flares and really got more into makeup to help me not look as sick as I felt. I eventually added in other things I love so I blog about skin, hair, makeup, nails and even fashion!
BB5: What is your makeup philosophy?
MINA: I see makeup as beauty enhancer. It doesn’t change who I am and I’m not trying to be someone else, it simply reflects the many sides of me in fun and sometimes artistic ways!
BB5: Who is your beauty icon?
MINA: My grandmother. She may not be famous, but to me she is the pure definition of classic beauty inside and out. So many trends of today are things I remember my grandmother rocking many years ago. Tips and tricks she taught me are still a part of my daily routine.
BB5: What is the best beauty advice you’ve ever received?
MINA: Less is more! I always thought my mother was just doing the mom thing when she told me that but it’s so true. It’s easier to build color up than it is to lessen it when you’ve used too much! Start with a little and build it slowly until you get the result you want.
